Travel Details
Getting to Vail takes a little bit of effort, but it is well worth the trip. Read below for our travel recommendations!
AIRPORTS
You can fly into Denver (DEN) or Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) and travel via car to Vail. It is typically a 2-3 hour journey from the Denver airport to Vail, depending on traffic and weather, and it is about a 30-minute journey from the Eagle airport to Vail.
TRANSPORTATION
Car rental is available at both Denver and Eagle County Airports. Please keep in mind that there is a vehicle traction law that can go in effect in the event of winter weather so we would probably recommend for you to rent AWD or 4WD. If you are not familiar with Turo, it is similar to AirBnB, but for cars and is a good and often more affordable option for renting vehicles!
It is very possible to enjoy the weekend without renting a car. There are shuttles from the airport to the Vail Village and a car will not be needed for any of our events if you are staying in Vail Village. Vail is very walkable and also has a reliable local free bus system within the town of Vail. Transportation to and from the ceremony will be provided.

LODGING
We strongly recommend staying in Vail Village or very nearby. This will give you the best access to the wedding festivities!
The reception will take place at Sonnenalp Vail. They have a variety of rooms and suites available. They do not provide room blocks or discount so we have worked with a few additional properties to provide a variety of options.
We’ve worked with Vail Resorts to provide our guests with a 20% discount off at The Lodge at Vail, The Arrabelle at Vail Square, and The Ritz Carlton Residences.
