Frequently Asked Questions

Are my kids invited to the wedding?

We LOVE your kids, but this is a kid-free wedding. If you’re traveling with kids and need a babysitter there are a variety of options available:

  • Join Vail Moms! Facebook group and then your post request in the group. Typically, a number of people will reach out with availability and be able to quickly provide you with their references. We’ve found this to be a great resource for my (Callie’s) family in the past. It tends to be more affordable than the other services since you’re getting connected directly with the caregivers.
  • Many of the hotels in Vail have childcare services or recommendations.
  • Care 4 Kids (http://babysittinginvail.com/) comes highly recommended. You can call Ryan Mahoney at 970-376-7228 or email babysitinginvail@gmail.com.
What's the appropriate attire for the wedding?

The wedding is black tie, however the ceremony is outside in November so feel free to wear your coats and boots and save your dancing shoes for the reception back at the Sonnenalp. We’re planning to have a boot and coat check at the reception.

What will the weather be like?

Weather in Vail in November can vary dramatically, but typically the highs will be in the low 40s and the lows will be in the 20s.  There is always a chance of snow this time of year, but you also can get a gorgeous days with temperatures in the 50s and sunny. We recommend checking the forecast and make sure to bring a coat!
